While sipping my morning kashaya, staring at bright morning sun visible thru the window- railings and in background Sita-Ram bhajans, I paused and reflected at my beloved study table and asked myself what does it tell me of who I am?
The Bitterness of Kashaya helped me better align my foscus to my thoughts :)
And when I wanted to capture the frame, I learned that somethings are observed better when we distance the 'me' from it and become the observer.
Coming back to my desk - I see two dry leafs, these were brought from pondicherry promenade beach, they were lying on the walkway near their tree and Their form, green color and vibrancy appealed to me so much that I wanted to keep it in my book, let it dry naturally and paint over it to make a card for a stranger friend who landed me a book to read at a park nearby, in my city.
One day, after office, I came home and was feeling extremely hot, for some reason I started to fan my face using the big dry leaf and my heart skipped a beat, I felt as if I can feel the Pondicherry Beach coastal breeze...I couldn't believe what I was experiencing!
..It could be that I love and connect with that place so deeply that I have forgotten the line of logic that seperate thoughts from reality...but I live and love in that space 🤷
Next is the Vibrant painting, the earthy colors of it that I filled sitting at Dakshin Chitra and this is one of such rare artwork that I wish to keep with me...
It brings me feeling of Joy, Grace, Beauty and Richness...abundance of ease and indulgence in the calling (how the portrait is calmly sitting and writing something or painting).
Then the filler items at my desk I.e. some herbal powder, a cup of steaming kashaya and the morning sun..on the window there is a decorative piece...a wooden ply block with a hook, board painted with two words (calligraphied)
'Simply Blessed' and that means a world to me. I had picked this up at a $ shop...for one dollar 💰 and I still remember the affinity I felt for it... It was love at first site for me. Simply loved it so much! And everytime I see it, it amplify that love in me.
To that wall hanger is a glass beaded Humming Birdy from Mexico but I got it as a gift from one of mexican Uber driver in US.
I was having long deep chats about my experience with humming birds, the movie 'Every little thing' and how I sobbed after watching it, and how I learned thT in ancient times, birds were the symbol and messengers; when my ride ended,
he simply asked - 'Saniorita do you want that?.'
It brings a sweet gentle smile on my face when I think of that moment...
What else?
I see a Notebook we got from one of the naturopathy Seminars, my work laptop, a phone and a thin book underneath the dry leaves which I leanded from that girl at park...
Does these all tells me something much deeper about who I am and what calls me in my life?
Maybe...
