Close to 4 decades old?

I was reading about a Gujju Granny who was 80 years and was successfully running a home made ice-cream business for almost four decades as she started it in 1986...

The number caught my attention...and the word "Decades" feels massive, powerful and with substance...

I was also working on a brief bio for myself and reflected my work life which is very close to two decades now...and I was like really? 

Did I just work all my life? And, crossed decades of my life along the way?

Well, maybe yes...

But comapiring with the Gujju Granny, I am sure her heart is filled and she lived a dream while making icecreams...I wonder what is it that brings me joy and solace...will I every be able to switch to that or will my soul continue to decay while crossing decades?
